We will be visitng Tyumen and Tobosk in the early part of December but we wanted to share with you about the church's anniversary celebration. The church was packed with members of the Tobolsk church as well as the daughter churches satrted during the past 17 years. Different groups in the church made presentations throughout the service. What was amazing to everyone at the celebration was the international make up of the church. Songs of praise and thanksgiving were sung in the Uzbek language, Tatar language, Armenian langauge and Russian. Some groups even performed national dances from their culture. This church is truely reaching out to bring Christ to other people groups that live in the region.
One of the highlights of the anniversary was the ordination of Sasha and Nadia, the church planting couple in Tyumen (Sorry the attached picture isn't the best quality. I hope to post a better one when we are in Tyumen).
